    This policy applies to the information Parent Teacher Mobile collect from parents, teachers and students when they use our Parent Teacher Mobile platform. It also covers personal information collected on the website. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before accessing our Website and using Parent Teacher Mobile Services. Data collected by Parent Teacher Mobile may include personally identifiable information from “education records” (Education Records in FERPA refers to documents, digital or otherwise, that may contain information related to a student).

    Under this Privacy Policy, you designate Parent Teacher Mobile as a “School Official” (School Official in FERPA refers to an agency that provides a service to schools for use and maintenance of FERPA records, is under the direct control of the school and uses PII only for authorised purposes). Parent Teacher Mobile agrees to comply with FERPA.

  10. Parent Teacher Mobile operates with parental consent for all underage children. The responsibility of obtaining the parental consent rests with the account creator. Children under 13 must obtain parental consent before creating their own account, or a parent or teacher must create their account on their behalf. We do not encourage children to share their work publicly. We continuously review and update our practices to ensure compliance with COPPA requirements.

  12. Parent Teacher Mobile collects minimal information from you and only uses it for the purposes explicitly called out in the Privacy Policy. The data collected is stored securely using industry standards. All the details with regards to the nature of the data collected and the reason for collecting it can be found in the Privacy Policy.

In accordance with the Student Privacy Pledge (‘Pledge’) we do collects minimal information from you and only uses it for authorized educational/school purposes, or as authorized by the parent/student. Please be aware that we not collect, maintain, use, or share student personal information beyond that needed.

  15. Types Of Data We Collect From You

  16. For the provision of the services, We only collect the data that we need for providing Parent Teacher Mobile services. It is our honest endeavour to minimise the data that we collect about our users;

    • Account Information: We collect information from all individuals creating an account on Parent Teacher Mobile site. This includes teachers, students, parents, etc. which is considered personal data as regards to GDPR;
    • “Student Data”: Any data collected by us that can be linked back to an individual student. This contains name, age, Email ID, name of parents and the school name.
    • “Log Data”: We collect log data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and your mobile carrier. Additionally we also use cookies to keep you logged into your system to improve your user experience.
    • Purchase and transaction Information: When you subscribe for our products and service on the website, you may be asked some information about yourself
    • Other data provided by you voluntarily: You may choose to voluntarily provide other information to us that we do not request, and, in such instances, you are solely responsible for such information.

    Sometimes, we receive information about you from third parties. This includes information from your school, but also in the case of teachers or other school staff, information from publicly available sources.

  18. Most times we receive, requests by your web browser to our servers for web pages and other content on our website are recorded by us. We record information such as: Your geographical location, your Internet service provider and your IP address when you:

    • login;
    • send a private message within the Parent Teacher Mobile platform; and
    • request information from Parent Teacher Mobile (such as when you request a password reset email).
    • We collect this information to enable us to be able to detect and diagnose any misuse of the Parent Teacher Mobile platform.

    We also record information about the device you are using to browse our website, such as the type of computer or device and the screen resolution. We use this information in aggregate to assess the popularity of the webpages on our website and how we perform in providing content to you.

We support the the Student Privacy Pledge (‘Pledge’), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other frameworks like the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR (together, the GDPR), which endorse the protection of children and their data. Our goal is to minimize the information gathered from and disseminated about a child while permitting their active participation with our services. Under COPPA in the United States, children for these purposes are considered to be individuals under the age of 13. This age range may vary in other countries and regions. Where consent is required or recommended for a particular purpose or practice, we aim to get parental consent for student in accordance with the age designated by the country they are in.

    We have in place strict limitations about what personal information can be collected and viewed about a child and how and when they can be contacted. We take extra steps to limit information collected and protect privacy, as described in this policy.

  22. If you are a parent of a younger user, and we need your consent to certain processing of your child’s personal information, if you:

    • believe your child is participating in an activity on the Site that uses their personal information without the parental consent required by law; and/or

    We will delete your child’s Profile, and any parental contact information we may hold, on request.

We use that email address to contact the User’s parent to ask for their consent to the relevant processing – we also explain to the parent:

    • how the parent can revoke their consent and/or ask that we delete their child’s Profile and their Personal Data.

    If at this stage, the parent gives us their consent, we will carry out the processing. If not, we won’t.

    • We never display ads, share data for the purpose of displaying ads, or allow data collection by advertisers or data brokers;

    • We never allow profiling of our users for targeted online ads;

  33. How We Use Your Data

  34. We are not in the business of renting or selling your personal data. We do not share or disclose your personal data without your prior written consent, except as follows;

    • To Identify you. Personal identification information is collected and processed for the purposes of User identification
    • To manage your account and registration: To determine whether to register you as a user of our Site, and manage your account preferences;
    • To facilitate payments: To collect payment from you when you order from us, to process payments when you transact on our platform;

    In accordance with the Student Privacy Pledge (‘Pledge’) we do not collect, maintain, use, or share student personal information beyond that needed for authorized educational/school purposes, or as authorized by the parent/student.

  36. Like any other website, Parent Teacher Mobile uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors'browser type and/or other information.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
